Grahame Wheeler AM

Grahame is a long-serving community leader best known for his decades of volunteer work with the Y in Australia. He began volunteering in 1948 and was founding member of the Y at Caringbah in Sydney in 1966. He served as President of the Y of NSW (formerly Sydney) for a total of 25 years, reflecting his influence and commitment, and later served as Treasurer. In 2011, he celebrated 50 years as a Director. Grahame received his Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 1983 Australia Day Honours, for service to youth welfare.
