Richard Edwards OAM

Richard is a Life Member at Y Queensland (formerly Y Brisbane), commencing his directorship on the Board in 1977. He served as Treasurer and President for many years throughout the next three decades and was President of Y Australia from 1994 to 1997. His expertise in the accounting field also made him a driving force in the Y National Staff Superannuation Fund. Richard was active in the global Y Movement, serving as Vice President of the Asia Alliance of YMCAs between1996 and 1999. Richard received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2001 for services to the community.
