Meet the 2025 Global Change Agents: A New Generation of Leaders Ready to Make Their Mark

Y Australia is proud to announce the sixth cohort of its Global Change Agents program—eight passionate young leaders from across the country who are stepping up to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.

Selected from Y Associations nationwide, these inspiring individuals will embark on an 18-month leadership journey through the global YMCA Movement. As part of the program, they will tackle real-world challenges, develop their leadership skills, and connect with a global network of changemakers.

Introducing Cohort 6.0:

  • Patrick Knight | Y Canberra Region – A community development coordinator and ANU student passionate about youth empowerment and global connection.
  • Angela Mudri | Y South Australia – A coach and program leader dedicated to active lifestyles and youth engagement.
  • Elijah Van Stam | Y WA – a youth worker using storytelling to build confidence and inclusion in diverse and underrepresented communities.
  • Hannah Mclaughlin | Y NSW – A program and practice lead for disability and inclusion, leading programs that amplify the voices of young people with disability.
  • Jules Gabor | Y NT – An award-winning youth advocate and event producer committed to representing young Territorians.
  • Kate Lewin | Y Whittlesea – A community champion with a flair for inclusion, connection, and celebration of diversity.
  • Khalid Muse | Y VIC – A public health advocate and founder of CALM Youth, driving equity and systemic change.
  • Reese Mora | Y QLD – an educational leader passionate about safeguarding and creating safe, empowering environments for young people.

These Change Agents represent the future of youth leadership in Australia. Those who meet key milestones will also have the opportunity to attend the World Council of YMCAs in Toronto, Canada in 2026.

“As a former Change Agent myself, I know that this program is about more than leadership, it’s about empowering young people to be bold, to be heard, and to shape the future they want to see,” said Alexandra Ash, CEO of Y Australia. “We can’t wait to see what this incredible group will achieve.”

Follow their journey and be inspired by the change they create.
